Mission
Above and Beyond Energy was formed by Mark and Marianna Jabaley in 2007, with one mission: to help professionals and laymen alike, to build only the highest performing homes in the Coastal Carolinas.
Their passion for community and the energy efficiency has helped them grow by 31% in number of new homes certified in 2010 over 2009 and they are projected to certify 92% more new ENERGY STAR homes in 2011 than in 2010!
Mark and Marianna have worked tirelessly to build the company to become one of the leading ENERGY STAR rating companies in their region.
Awards
Above and Beyond Energy was recently awarded 2011 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year from EPA and 2010 Rater Partner of the Year from their rating provider.
Community Engagement
Above and Beyond Energy has presented seminars on ENERGY STAR Version 3, Home Star, energy efficiency, has been panelist for local green building meetings, and has reached out to thousands in the community promoting energy efficiency and home performance.

Collectively ABE’s 2010 ENERGY STAR qualified homes will save homeowners almost $50,000 per year and will prevent nearly 300 tons CO2, 3300 lbs of SO2, and over 800 lbs NOx from entering the atmosphere every year.

Area of Service
Above and Beyond Energy is based out of Wilmington, NC and performs ENERGY STAR certifications, LEED for Homes, NAHB Green, NC Healthy Built Homes, and existing home energy audits from Cape Lookout to Wilmington to Fayetteville to Myrtle Beach.

Sustainable Design Collaborative
Through our experiences on such projects, such as Talon Ct, arguably the greenest home in America, we formed positive relationships with a variety of professionals. One such fruit of our labors was born out of the Talon Ct project and the key trades involved formed a collaborative effort to continue providing whole home and property analysis. We formed a green super group consisting of two architects, a builder, an interior specialist, and an energy rater. We have since formed the Sustainable Design Collaborative.
